Austin Spurs to Host Military Appreciation Game on February 26th

AUSTIN, Texas (Feb. 13, 2017) – The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, will host a Military Appreciation Game Sunday, February 26 at 3:00 p.m. versus the Iowa Energy. The game is sponsored by E-Team Austin Realty and Deloitte.

The team will wear special military-themed jerseys to honor the armed forces. Complimentary tickets will be available for all active, reserve, and retired military personnel at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park box office with valid identification.

Prior to the game, there will be a Fallen Comrade Ceremony led by the University of Texas ROTC in honor of all the brave men and women who have lost their lives, went missing in action, or have been imprisoned while serving our country. The Longhorn ROTC band will also be playing military songs on the concourse while guests enter the arena.

A post-game auction of the player jerseys and the team’s popular Toss for a Cause will benefit Operation Supply Drop, a non-profit whose mission is to support military by sending care packages and organizing celebratory events for soldiers overseas or recovering in military hospitals.
